Current Situation: Sitting in a hotel room on vacation sick with the WORST cold ever!
Ok, that might sound a bit dramatic, but lets face it, we all deserve to be a bit dramatic when were not feeling well. So here's my tips for you on how to feel better instantly and still go on with your life when you feel like shit.
1. Take a warm shower. It really opens up your sinuses and allows you to feel fresh even when you feel like a giant walking germ.
2. Vitamins & medicine. I know some people don't like to put medicine in their body when they're sick, and I am one of those people. But the truth is, if you feel absolutely horrible then you need medicine to make you feel better. I also like to take Airborne or vitamin C to pump up my immune system when sick. It is even better to take it at the first sign of your cold to help shorten your cold.
3. Put on makeup & brush your hair. I usually have a messy bun and no makeup on when sick, but getting all dolled up really improves my mood and gives me a little more pep in my step.
4. Chicken noodle soup & tea/ coffee. Studies show that chicken noodle soup actually helps. Whether it be a Placebo effect or the yumminess somehow scares the cold away, I don't know. Coffee always wakes me up and gives me lots of energy to help me become super productive.
Don't forget to drink lots of water and get lots of rest so your body can recuperate. I hope these tips help. This is definitely helping me make the best out of a crummy situation.
