MY FAVORITE FALL BOOTS

November 30, 2018

Let's be honest, when you think of fall fashion, you think of cozy cardigans and stylish boots. Today I'm going to show you some of my favorite boots this season.

So comfortable and stylish! I've never had so many compliments on an article of clothing before. I have to shoutout Megan of TheMeganSeries.com for telling me about these. Fits true to size, I wear a size 7.

Hunter Original Tall Waterproof Rain Boot  Originally $150, currently on sale for $99.90 at Nordstrom! I've wanted these boots for years and I'm so glad I finally got a pair. I wear mine rain or shine. If you wear a half size, I recommend sizing down.

Sam Edelman Drea Stud Moto Boot Originally $180.95, currently $113.96 at Nordstrom! When I wear these boots I feel so badass!

Lanae Scrunch Boots by Universal Thread, $39.99 at Target. These are so cute! They're constantly selling out, but they've been good about restocking pretty quickly on the website. Also, Target has a ton of sales, you can probably even get them cheaper.

Breanna Over The Knee Riding Boots by A New Day, $34.99  at Target. Over the knee boots are a must for the fall season. I really like these in the brown shade, they look expensive but they are so affordable.

What boots are your favorite? Are there any boots that youve been loving this season? If so, let me know down below. :)

URBAN OUTFITTERS HAUL

November 2, 2018

I'm so excited about fall fashion! I've been online shopping like crazy lately, and I want to show you what I got from Urban Outfitters. Also, Thermals are 25% off at Urban right now, which means its time to stock up!

I've been seeing the Out From Under Jojo Oversized Thermal everywhere lately! It's so cozy and stylish. There are thirteen different colors to choose from, I got mine in ivory and tan. They do run big so I would recommend ordering a size down. I originally ordered the sweater in a size medium, however, I'm returning it for a size small.

I also NEEDED the UO Blake Cardigan in white! I ordered a size medium and it was a perfect fit for me.
I've been loving 90s vibes lately, and I couldn't pass up a corduroy skirt. The zipper and button details are so chic and fashionable. I purchased the UO Harmony Corduroy Zip-Front Skirt in a size medium. It is true to size and has a nice fit.

I purchased the BDG Denim Raw-Edge Mini Skirt in the size medium, however, I will be returning it. I feel like it is a bit bulky at the waist and I'm not sure if I need to size down or if that's the way it is supposed to fit.
I've been looking everywhere for cute oxford shoes, I ended up buying the Dr. Martens 1461 Mono 3-Eye Oxford shoes. I didn't realize there are so many different types of oxfords from Dr. Martens till after I purchased mine. I'm going to continue looking for some with a little more detail on them.
Last but not least, Urban had a sale for buy two pairs of socks for $20, so I purchased the Lightweight Over-The-Knee Socks, and the Out From Under Sporty Gym Crew Socks.

If your getting anything from the Urban Outfitter Thermal sale let me know down below! :)

A HAIRSTYLISTS GUIDE TO STYLING TOOLS

September 17, 2018

My clients are always asking what the best styling tools are so I thought why not do a blog post on them.

BLOWDRYERS
Currently, I've been using The Buttercup Blow Dryer from the Drybar, and I've been loving it. Not only is it super lightweight, but it has a 9ft cord which is great for hairstylists. The Nanoionic technology is anti-frizz and great for smoothing hair.

FLAT IRONS
If you have fine hair, I recommend a CHI flat iron. The Temperature Control Hairstyling Iron is great, I've used this for years and it still works great. They are generally about $99.99, but Ulta always has them on sale, so you could probably get one for around $79 or $89.

If you have thick or curly hair, I recommend The Nano Titanium Prima 3000 Styling Iron by Babyliss. This iron gets up to 465 degrees and can smooth the frizziest curls into straight sleek hair. If you are a hairstylist, this is the only iron you should be using because it is that amazing!

CURLING IRONS
The 3-Day Bender Curling Iron by Drybar is my most used curling iron in the salon. It gives perfect sized curls that last all day. It also has a 9-foot cord like the Buttercup Blow Dryer. I like how even the heat is on the rod, as well as it stays the same temperature the entire time you use it. It will automatically turn off after 30 min, but I will just turn it right back on if I still need it.

If a curling iron with a clip is not for you, then I recommend Paul Mitchel's Express Ion Smooth+ Unclipped 3-in-1 Iron. I use this on clients who want loose beachy waves and it the hair always comes out amazing. It comes with 3 clip in rods, I use the bigger rod that is cone-shaped the most.

HONORABLE MENTION
The Supersonic Hair Dryer by Dyson is what I use at home. I like how quickly it dries my hair, it cuts my getting ready time in half. My hair is smoother when using this dryer, and it is more resistant to humidity so it stays smooth all day. At $399.99 the price tag is a lot more than most would pay for an at-home dryer, but if you have thick, coarse hair then I recommend giving it a try. I do not like to use it in the salon though. It is hard to hold the nozzle when blowdrying and the nozzle often falls off because it is magnetically held on.

Have you tried these styling tools? What do you think works best on your hair?

A SIMPLE FAVOR...

September 14, 2018

OH MY GOD! This movie was sooooooo good! As soon as I came out of the theater, I knew I needed 3 things: Black studded Louboutin boots, a martini, and some swanky Parisian music. The Fashion in "A Simple Favor," was so chic, and inspiring. Blake Lively not only rocks the pantsuit in multiple scenes but also rocks some pretty awesome Louboutins...

Say hello to the Glorymount Studded Buckle Boots by  Louboutin. Unfortunately, they are sold out everywhere.

Heres the next best things from Louboutin currently-
The Trapeudekoi 70 boot that retails for $1,145.00
& the Who Runs 70 boot for $1,595.00.

I couldn't help but notice the Aviation Gin that Blake Lively & Anna Kendricks characters drank throughout the movie. After doing some research I realized Ryan Renolds, (Blake's husband) is the owner of Aviation Gin.

Emily's Martini:

        1. Freeze the martini glass, and Aviation Gin
        2. Swirl some Vermouth in the glass, then dump
        3. Fill 2/3 the glass with gin
        4. Cut a wide lemon peel, squeeze into the glass and run around the rim.
        5. Enjoy & Reset!

If your in the mood to wear some badass boots and drink martinis, here's some music from the soundtrack to go with:

        1. Saint Privat - Poison Rouge
        2. Jean Paul Keller - Ca S'est Arrange
        3. Francoise Hardy - Comment Te Dire Adieu
        4. Brigitte Bardot - La Madrague
        5. Zaz - Les Passants
        6. Brigitte Bardot - Une Histoire de Plage
        7. The Last Shadow Puppets - Les Cactus

Also if you loved this movie as much as I did, let me know down below. What's your favorite outfit/ accessory from the movie?
