I'M ENGAGED!!

June 25, 2019

OMG!!!! I'm engaged!! So crazy to say, but feels amazing! After 4 1/2 years together Vince has asked me to be his wife. He proposed on June 8, 2019, in Arnold, CA, on top of a ledge that overlooked the whole valley. It was absolutely perfect!

In Vince & I's relationship, I can often sense when he is going to buy me flowers or doughnuts, and so he had to be very sneaky to surprise me. About a month before, he took a picture of a ring that I had sent him a long time ago to the jewelers to be made. He then enlisted one of my best friends Punita to convince me to get my nails done. She told me she would pay for me to get my nails done for my birthday which was June 4th. At first, I didn't think anything of it because we used to get our nails done together all the time. A couple days later something clicked and I thought something was up, so I came home and questioned Vince about our upcoming camping trip. He played it off very well and then I started questioning myself wondering if I was hoping too much and therefore I was just really wanting it to happen. Up until the day we left for camping I ended up questioning another friend and even called my grandfather to see if I would be able to sense anything. Everyone played it off really well which made me think it was all in my head.
Our plan was to spend one night at the family cabin and then go camping the next day. We ended up getting into Arnold early and I was just so excited to get out of town that I suggested we camp the first night. While we were driving to our camping spot, the sun began setting so we decided to go to a cliff that we had been to before when we first started dating so we can see the sunset.

(Photos from a month into our relationship)

I grabbed all my camera equipment and so did Vince. This was normal as we both love taking photos, and we often take photos throughout all our camping trips. When we got to the top of the ledge, I began taking photos for Instagram.
The sight was absolutely beautiful, and I was feeling nervous about being up so high because I'm afraid of heights. Vince told me to take some photos standing up, and I was afraid of falling and so at this point, I completely forgot about getting engaged. So I stood up and Vince came over next to me and told me the GoPro was taking photos every 3 seconds so I started posing and holding each pose for 3 seconds, (I later realized he was recording.) He then gave me a kiss, dropped down on one knee, and pulled out a black box from his pocket. I yelled, "Shut the fuck up!" and then started ugly crying. Of course, I said YES!
Everything was so perfect! That night we sat at the campfire and talked for hours about how Vince planned the proposal and how excited we both are for what's to come. This is so far the best day of my life!
